Blueberries from the garden!

I have been busy harvesting my blueberries. So far, I have used all of my berries to make some yummy homemade jam. I am adding some pictures in case you are not familiar with how blueberries grow! Blueberries grow on bushes. It's kind of funny how they ripen. They do not ripen at the same time. Mine have been ripening for the last month from the same bush. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

I just finished canning up tons and tons of jars of salsa from the tons of tomatoes being harvested between my dad's plants and mine. I bet your blueberry jam is wonderful spread on toast with a hot cup of coffee in the morning! Only wish I could taste it myself....Yum! My favorite part of canning though is lining the shelf of my pantry with all those colorful jars of goodness just waiting for the winter.

I found your blog via Sue's Country Pleasures. You're such a talented lady! I look forward to seeing more of your sewing creations, and the blueberry jam sounds divine! We had four pounds of blueberries from a friend's 'you-pick' patch this year. I 'spent' them all on a big cobbler and batch of muffins. Next year, I hope to have enough for jam! Enjoyed my visit! -Tammy
